This information relates to the sites of the Messe Frankfurt Italia group (the "Site") and is provided by Messe Frankfurt Italia S.r.l., C.F. and VAT number 12632140153, with registered office in Corso Sempione n. 68, 20154 Milan (MI), as Data Controller of personal data (hereinafter referred to as "MFI").

1. What are cookies

Cookies are text strings that a website visited by the user sends to his terminal (computer, mobile device such as smartphone or tablet) where they are stored before being re-transmitted to that site on a subsequent visit to the site. Thanks to the use of cookies, the Site is able to identify users who access it and improve the browsing experience of identified users.

To prevent the storage of cookies on your terminal and browser, the user must disable them.

2. Types of cookies

Cookies are distinguished from each other, first of all, based on the person who installs them on the user's terminal. Cookies can, in fact, be installed by the same site manager that the user is visiting (so-called "first-party cookies") or by the manager of a different site, who installs cookies through the first site, (so-called " third party cookies ").

Cookies are also distinguished according to their functions. In particular, there may be:

Technical cookies. They can be either session cookies (cookies that are automatically deleted when the browser is closed) or lasting, which are used to remember the information used between two distinct accesses. These cookies are used only to allow the user to navigate or to provide a service requested by the user. They remember the information that the user provides while browsing the pages of the Site. They include, for example, cookies that allow you to make a purchase, that allow you to authenticate to restricted areas or that memorize the language and nationality selected by the user in the moment in which he visited the Site. This category also includes third-party analytical cookies (i.e. Google Tag Manager) with respect to which data minimization measures have been applied to significantly reduce their identification power, so as to preclude them from proceed to the direct identification of the interested party (so-called single out). These cookies are used exclusively for the production of aggregate statistics.

Analytical cookies. They allow you to recognize and count the number of visitors and to see how they move around the Site during its use. This helps to improve the functioning of the Site, for example, by making sure that users find what they are looking for easily.

Profiling cookies. They can be both first and third party and are used to analyze the interests and browsing habits of individual users, in order to personalize their browsing and deliver, for example, content, including advertising, targeted to particular interests.

Profiling cookies and analytical cookies require the user's prior consent for their installation, while the installation of technical cookies does not require any prior consent.
